We Harvested Our Potatoes

This was our first time to grow new potatoes. We experimented by planting them in a tall water trough with good drainage holes.

They did great except the potatoes on the sunny side of the water trough got cooked. I was able to collect enough to fill a glass pie plate. Maybe next year we will plant in the ground instead and just mulch well. This water trough trick seems like it would work awesome in milder climates. I think from now on we will just plant flowers in the trough.
